Kristin Ryan
Saturday, March 13th Kristin Ryan
A native of Sandy Hook, Kristin studied at the Suzuki Music School, Julie's Piano Workshop, and at the Newtown Music Studio with Jackie Gaudet before heading off to pursue a degree in music and Russian studies at Colgate University. She is happy to be back in Newtown and is currently working on a solo album featuring voice and acoustic guitar. A dark, mellow blend, sometimes pure and sometimes smoky, her songs are emotional snapshots capturing the last few years' worth of self discovery. Her original songs are inspired by the acoustic rock and folk songs of artists including Bob Dylan, Sarah McLachlan, Leonard Cohen, and the Dixie Chicks.

Tim Gilbert brings his "three guitars" performance to Mocha featuring instrumental interpretations and original compositions based on blues and rock themes from the 60's and 70's. He has been at his craft for over 35 years and has performed in Europe, the US as well as on the peaks of South America's Andes Mountains. He claims to have performed higher than any other guitarist out there, pun intended.

Kathleen Pemble and her band Cold Spring the band (not to be confused with Cold Spring the town where she lives, performs and teaches) bring extremely diverse musicality and relentlessly honest writing to every performance; their alt-indie acoustic sound and rich vocal arrangements weave and sonic web which draws the listener close.
